About Me

I was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to an artist mother and a charismatic but volatile father. Growing up in a complex family, including a sister who overcame childhood schizophrenia, I became deeply attuned to others and took on a caregiving role early in life.

Music was my first passion, earning a Juilliard Award in high school. I later studied at NYU, graduated with Honors in Psychology from Rutgers, and received my Master’s in Psychology from Antioch University.

I began practicing yoga and meditation at 22, eventually becoming a transcendental meditation teacher and teaching thousands nationwide.

For over thirty-five years, I’ve practiced spiritual psychotherapy, taught art and psychology at the university level (including UCLA) and led meditation retreats and workshops.
